Victoria University
From March 6 to 22, a “Cultural Nursing Training” was held at Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia. Since the number of foreign patients is increasing and became mere internationalization, we need to nurture international medical staff.
The purpose of this training is to improve their nursing sense with global awareness through overseas training, 15 students joined this program and interacted with local students who has different cultural backgrounds, met Japanese nurses working in Australia and participated in local training. They said, "I want to be a nurse who could consider various nationalities, races and religions." "I felt in Australia, nurses need advanced skills, knowledge and teamwork concepts, and I have realized the strengths and weaknesses of nursing in both countries."
