FD: Improving the guidance method of clinical training incorporating patient safety standards
On the 2nd of July, the following FD was held to improve education at the school of medicine.
Theme: Improving the guidance method of clinical training incorporating patient safety standards.
Teacher: Dr. Erwin Gonzales (JCI project consultant）
Gist : Lectures were given in English so that faculty can teach improvement of guidance method of clinical training incorporating international standards for patient safety both in Japanese and in English.
At the FD lecture, there was an opinion that the following should be confirmed and considered when teaching students: ①What is the student's learning environment? (Awareness of medical safety and quality of faculty and staff working with faculty. Rules penetration, etc.)
② Who is the teacher for students? What kind of educational resources to use and how much time to educate? ③ Are there any program designs of the educational method and flow?
Participants learned if the relationship between teacher and student is closer, the student can be improved, and they realized the importance of Root cause analysis.
