2019 Academic Year: 2nd Assembly Education Workshop (August 1st)

The Assembly Education program is an interprofessional educational program. In Assembly I (freshman), students acquire communication skills, with group skills developed in Assembly II (sophomore) through participation in various activities. In Assembly III (mainly junior), students practice team-based learning (TBL) through interprofessional education, and gain understanding of “patient-centered” concepts. Understanding of “patient-centered” concepts and communication skills are the fundamental competencies for interprofessional collaboration.
In Assembly IV (senior and above), students work on the health issues of patients in collaboration with other professionals, after developing an understanding their own roles, as well as the roles of others professions.
In this workshop, participants summarized the trials of the Assembly IV courses conducted from 2016 to 2018, and considered “How should Assembly IV be developed as a program?”
