1979: Research Assistant (Immunology), School of Hygiene, Nagoya Health University
1983: Research Assistant (Parasitology), School of Medicine, Nagoya Health University
1991: Research Assistant, Institute of Pathology, Case Western Reserve University, USA
1995: Lecturer (Parasitology), School of Medicine, Fujita Health University
2003: Associate Professor, Course of Virology and Parasitology, School of Medicine, Fujita Health University

Prof. Maeno delivered a lecture on the importance of communication in interprofessional collaboration (in the context of team medical care). He explained the importance of developing the habit of listening attentively “with ears, eyes and heart,” since appropriate non-verbal thought or feeling is often as valuable as verbal communication.
