The 26th Comprehensive Medical Science (1st Academic Lecture) was held
On June 19, Dr. Henry Rodriguez gave a lecture on the theme of “Multi-Omics Research -Proteomics joins forces with Genomics to Advance Basic and Translational Cancer Research”.
Henry Rodriguez is one of the heads of the NIH (National Institutes of Health) in the US Medical Project (2016), “Cancer Moonshot Initiative”, an Apollo program to overcome cancer, and has worked as an expert in precision medicine.
In order to understand the etiology of cancer, he explained how genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics are combined in the basic and translational researches (clinical trials), and after the lecture, many active questions were raised from the audiences.
Prior to the lecture, he met our directors at the Hospital Director's Office and visited the "International Center for Cell and Gene Therapy" and the "DOKUSO-ICHIRI KINENKAN", and was informed on Fujita’s history and the new activities.
