Although their clinical results are astonishing, multislice CT systems are not the product of magic or miracles. They are the fruits of the latest science and an art of technology. Since they are designed on the basis of physics, it is important for radiologist to understand the basics of multislice CT in order to evaluate true performance of your system and to use these systems most effectively. In this chapter, some essential part of the theory and technologies of multislice CT will be discussed.
